Privacy policy
Effective date: September 14, 2026
Seam Inspector is a single-player game. It has no accounts, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking, and it offers no in-app purchases. Your progress and photos stay on your device. The only data that leaves the device is the notification delivery token described below.
The app stores the following only in its private storage on your iPhone or iPad. It is never sent to us or to anyone else:
The camera opens only when you choose to take a badge photo or a Field Log photo. The photo library opens only when you choose to pick a picture. Selected images are resized and saved inside the app and are not uploaded. When you tap Save to Photos on a certificate, the app asks for permission to add that single image to your photo library. You can change these permissions at any time in iOS Settings.
If you turn on shift reminders, the app asks for notification permission and schedules reminders locally on your device. To make push notification delivery possible, Apple Push Notification service issues a device token and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging issues a registration token for this installation.
These tokens are used only to deliver notifications. They are not linked to your name or any account, are not combined with other data, and are not used for tracking or advertising.
| Service | Purpose | Data |
|---|---|---|
| Apple Push Notification service | Delivering notifications to your device | Device token |
| Google Firebase Cloud Messaging | Routing push notifications | Registration token (device identifier) |
These providers handle tokens under their own privacy policies. No other third-party services, SDKs for analytics or advertising networks are used.
Data collected: Identifiers – Device ID, used for App Functionality (notification delivery), not linked to you and not used to track you. No other data types are collected.
The app does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Everything a player creates stays on the device.
Data on your device is kept until you remove it. Use Settings, then Reset all progress, to erase your service record, certificates and Field Log photos. Deleting the app removes everything it stored. Turning reminders off stops scheduled notifications, and you can revoke notification permission in iOS Settings.
If the way the app handles data changes, this policy will be updated and the new effective date shown above. Significant changes will ship together with an app update.
Questions about this policy can be sent through the Support link on the Seam Inspector product page in the App Store.
